Java is a very useful language and it is not to be confused with JavaScript which is different. Its applications can be used in a variety of different ways. Popular games like Runescape are examples of many tedious hours of Java coding and design. To learn from the tutorials, I highly recommend downloading JCreator, a free Java IDE (In addition you will need to download the actual Java programming language known ask the SDK. It can be downloaded at: Oracle - Java SDK).
